Heroes are primary colors.Villains are secondary colors. These are things you need to know.

salbrucculeri asked: Do you have any tips for pitching a creator-owned comic at a con? Synopsis is made as well as the first few completed pages.

mattfractionblog:

I usually try to couch my answers to advice questions — to ‘keep it in the “i”’ as they say in certain rooms — but this is the one time i won’t:

Don’t. meet editors at cons. Shake hands, get cards, get the fuck away from the booth. If you see ‘em at a bar, buy a round. Because nobody’s reading anything at a con and — dirty secret time — everybody spends a long five minutes the day their plane leaves with the hotel room garbage can, sifting through whatever they were given at shows, trying to decide what weight is worth lugging back to fuckknows and what shall not be leaving the la quinta. Don’t pitch at shows. Meet people. Have a conversation. Is this the right place for you? Is yours right for that place? Are these people you could work with? Do they HAVE a sub. policy already? Don’t be hungry at shows. Be human. Say hi.

Then send the pitch on monday.

Be human.
